Summer Holiday Club 2024
We welcome everyone to OSCARS Summer Play scheme. We have planned a variety of activities which we think your children will love. Please book asap to secure a space as bookings run on a first come first serve basis. Please note, there are some days where there are additional charges for the day's activities. This year we have capped the max additional charge at £3.

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Football- We will play a fun game of football on the playground
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Chalk painting- The children can let their imagination run wild when decorating the playground with chalk
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00-5:00pm: Group play Today will be finished up by doing a relaxing puzzle as a group
Thursday 25 July
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Paddling pools- We will get the paddling pools out for the children to splash around
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Scented playdoh- The children can choose from a variety of scents and colours to make the perfect playdoh for them
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Freeze tag- Freeze tag is today's group activity for the children to play
Friday 26 July
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Walk to Crossbow park- We will be taking the children to Crossbow park. We will also take some outdoor games with us
Creative play 11:00- 12:300pm: Messy art We will be doing lots of fun, messy art outdoors today
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Heads up- Today we will finish with a game of heads up- the children will have to guess what cards they are holding up to their heads
Monday 29 July
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Nature walk- The children can go on a lovely nature walk this morning around Frampton
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Nature collage craft- The children can use bugs collected on their nature walk to make a collage
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Granny's foot steps The children can play a fun game of granny's footsteps together
Tuesday 30 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Inflatables- The inflatable will arrive at 9:30 and be collected at 5. The children can play all day
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: General crafts and colouring- We will layout a section of craft materials for the children to use as they wish
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00: Inflatables- The inflatable will arrive at 9:30 and be collected at 5. The children can play all day
Wednesday 31 July (Harry Potter day)
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Quidditch This morning, we will play a game of muggle quidditch (sadly this means no flying)
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Harry Potter crafts The children can make Harry Potter key chains and hama bead creations today
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: What do you meme?- We will watch Harry Potter (one of the PG movies) this afternoon with a yummy bowl of popcorn
Thursday 1 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: King boo battle- We will hang King Boo balloons from the ceiling, wearing a blindfold, the children will have to find and burst a king boo to reveal a prize
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Mario Kart crafts- The children will be able to take part in a variety of Mario themed arts and crafts
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Mario Kart- We will set up Mario Kart on our consoles for the children to play together
Friday 2 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Superhero tag- We will play a game of superhero inspired tag this morning
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Superhero crafts- The children will be able to take part in a variety of superhero themed arts and crafts
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Hide and seek- A firm favourite with the children, we will play hide and seek inside the Oscars building and on the school field
Monday 5 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Stuck in the chocolate- A Willy Wonka twist on stuck in the mud
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Chocolate making- The children can make a tasty bar of chocolate to take home
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Willy Wonka movie and hot chcolate- We will finish today's Willy Wonka day with a movie and hot chcolate
Tuesday 6 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30: Water pistols- The children can bring in water pistols from home and take part in our annual water fight
Creative play 11- 13:30pm: Leaf rubbing- The children will collect a selection of interesting leaves to create some leaf rubbing
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00: Giant jenga- To finish today we will play a game of giant jenga on the field
Wednesday 7 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Sport morning- A variety of sport day themed activities will be on offer this morning
Creative play 11- 12:30pm: Sun catchers- The children will have the opportunity to make shimmering sun catchers
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00-5:00pm: Broken telephone- The children will sit in a circle and pass a message along by whispering into each others ears

This morning we will be visiting bridge house for a wizz around the train track

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Scooters- We will get the scooters out again today. Children are also welcome to bring their scooters from home
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Neon slime- Today we will make and play with brightly coloured slime
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Hop scotch- To finish off today's fun activities, the children can draw hop scotch markings on the playground and hop away.
Monday 12 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Cricket- This morning's activity we will be playing cricket on the school field
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Jam lanterns- Jam jars will be recycled into colourful lanterns during today's creative activity.

Tuesday 13 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Walk to Poplars- We will go for a lovely walk to Poplars farm to visit the pigs and play in the play area

Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Monopoly- The children will play a game of monopoly together this afternoon

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Midsummer party- Dancing, party games and lots of party fun will be on offer this morning
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Dream catcher - The children can make beautiful dream catchers using feathers and beads
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Movie and popcorn - Today we will finish off with an exciting moving and bowl of popcorn

Creative play 11:00- 12:30: Face painting- The children can choose from a range of face painting designs and stencils
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Giant outdoor jenga- To finish today off, we will play with giant jenga on the school field

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Scooters- Today the children can bring in scooters from home or play on the ones we have at Oscars
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Lego competition - Oscars will host a lego competition. Sweet treats will be up for grabs
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Cat and mouse - Today, as a group, the children can play a classic game of cat and mouse
Wednesday 21 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Walk to centenary wheel - We will take a nice walk to the big, red centenary wheel. We will also take some outdoor toys to play with
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Origami - Origami crafts will be today's creative craft on offer
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: What do you meme?- A group game of what do you meme will be on offer today
Thursday 22 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Boccia- The children split into teams and take it in turns to throw a ball towards a target. The team with the closest ball wins
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Stress balls - The creative activity today will be stress ball making
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Scrabble - We have many different variants of scrabble for the children to play at Oscars
Friday 23 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Slip and slide- We will get the slip and slide out this morning for the children to play with
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Pebble painting - Pebble painting is today's creative craft. What will your child decide to paint?
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Among us - In this among us inspired game, the children will be given a task to complete, but somebody will be secretly sabotaging them!
Tuesday 27 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Bug hunt - A fun hunt for creepy crawlies on the school field will be today's active play
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Bug hotel - Following on with the theme of bugs, we will be making a bug hotel today
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Charades - A group game of charades will finish off today's activities
Wednesday 28 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Walk to Beesmore park- We will take the children for a lovely walk to Beesmore Park where they can play on all the wooden equipment
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Kinetic sand - The children can use tools to cut, shape and play with satisfying kinetic sand
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Puzzles - Today will be finished up by doing a relaxing puzzle as a group
Thursday 29 August
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Gymnastics- The children will be able to practice their gymnastics and show off their skills
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Sand art - The children will make beautiful designs on paper and bring them to life in the sand
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Outdoor bowling - Today's group activity is going to be a big game of bowling outside on the playground
Friday 30 August (Optional £2)
Active play 9:30- 10:30am: End of summer BBQ- To end our summer playscheme we will have another bbq lunch
Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Scoobie strings - Scoobie strings are a classic 2000's craft. The children can make keyrings today using them
Free play 2:00- 3:15pm: The children can play with anything at Oscars
Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Marshmallow toasting - Finally today we will toast marshmallows
Additional Information
Please do note that on some days there is an additional charge for the activity on offer. This will be on magic booking and will be added to your booking. Once you have booked your sessions you will need to pay in advance for the sessions.
Although we have set activities on each day, we will always have the ‘usual’ activities on offer as well: football, colouring, outdoor play, construction etc. We will always make sure there is something that the children want to do!
Please note that all activities are subject to change in the case of unforeseen circumstances.
Trip Days
- On trip days, parents/guardians will be given a mobile number to use in case they need to contact a staff member throughout the day.
- Our trips are staffed at a 1:5 ratio, with a floating member of staff. Each staff member will be responsible for a small group.
- If you have any concerns about the trips, please do speak to us. We are aware some children may have never been on a trip before and we will always carry out full risk assessments.
Breakfast is available until 8.15am. On all days, parents are requested to send in the following items:
- water bottle
- change of clothes
- sun hat
- sun cream
- sensible shoes
- packed lunch
- warm clothes if cold/wet
