Summer Holiday Club 2022

Our Holiday Club is running from Monday 24th July - Friday 1st September. Pick and choose the days you need or enjoy our activities for the whole summer!

Full Day: 7.45am - 6.00pm            COST: £26.50 

School Day: 9am - 3pm                    COST: £22.00

Additional costs apply for certain days and activities - please see details below.

Sibling Discount of 15% applies for each additional child from the same family.

Details of our October mid-term playscheme will be made available in early September with bookings opening shortly thereafter. 

 

Monday 24 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Dance- The children will be sown some dance moves. They will ten create their own dance routines to perform for each other. 

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Loom bands- The children will be able to create loom band bracelets. 

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Sand pit- The children will be able to play in the sad pit.

Group play 4:00-5:00pm: Musical party games- A selection of musical games such as musical bumps/ chairs/statues and pass the parcel will be played.

 

 

Tuesday 25 July 
(£6 additional fee BBQ lunch provided)

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Inflatables- There will be a disco bouncy castle wit music and lights as well as a large slide. The inflatables will be ere from 9:30- 5:30.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Chalk painting- The children can let their imaginations run wild when decorating the playground with chalk. 

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Giant bubbles- The goal is to create a bubble big enough for the children to stand inside.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Twister- The children will have the opportunity to play a game of twister.

 

Wednesday 26 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Tennis- We will play this game on the school field and the children will work in teams to win.

Creative play 11:00- 12:300pm: Hamma beads- The hamma beads can be created by using a stencil or the children can freestyle their own design.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15: Scented Play Doh- The children can choose from a variety of scents and colours to make the perfect play doh for them.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Monopoly- The children will play a game of monopoly together this afternoon. 

Thursday 27 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Football- The children will split into teams and a fun game of football will be set up on the school field.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Mask making- Today the children will be using their creativity to make masks.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Sensory bags- The children will be making squishy sensory bags.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Parachute games- We will be playing a range of parachute games outside.

Friday 28 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Racing- A selection of races will be on offer this morning. Relay, sprints, egg and spoon race.

 Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Cold cooking- Biscuit decorating, cupcake decorating and other cold craft activities will be on offer.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Oobleck- For todays sensory craft, the children will make slimy oobleck.

Group play 4:00- 5:00: Collective story- Todays group activity will be creating a collective story. Each child will have a turn to add a sentence to an existing story.

Monday 31 July

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Scooters- Today the children can bring in scooters from home or play on the ones we have at OSCARS.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Face painting- The children can choose from a range of face paint designs and stencils.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Water table- The children can splash around in the water table.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: What do you meme?- Today we will finish off with a game of What do you meme

 

Tuesday 1 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Beesmore park- Today the children will walk to beesmore park to play on all of the equipment. 

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Paper plate crafts- We will be making a section of crafts using regular paper plates. 

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Nature walk sound hunt- During our walk to Beesmore, the children can take part in a sound hunt.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Marshmallow toasting- Finally, today we will toast marsmellows.

 

Wednesday 2 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Rounders- We will play an exciting game of rounders on the school field. 

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Map making- We will make some maps which will look hundreds of years old.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Stress ball- The sensory activity today will be making a stress ball.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Movies and popcorn- We will choose a movie to watch whilst eating popcorn.

Thursday 3 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Cricket- Cricket will be todays active play, set up on the school field.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Messy art- We will be doing lots of fun, messy art outdoors today.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Mystery taste testing- The children can explore and guess the different mystery foods.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Puzzle- Today will be finished up by doing a relaxing puzzle as a group.

Friday 4 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30: Basketball- The children will be split into teams to play a fun game of basketball on the playground.

Creative play 11- 13:30pm: Oragami- Oragami crafts will be todays craft on offer.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Cloud dough- The children can make and play with super soft cloud dough this afternoon.

Group play 4:00- 5:00: Quiz- As a group, the children can take part in a fun quiz.

Monday 7 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Badminton- Badminton will be todays exciting sport on offer.

Creative play 11- 12:30pm: Windmills- A creative windmill craft will be on offer for the children today.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Crunchy slime- Textured, crunchy slime will be todays sensory activity tat the children can get stuck into.

Group play 4:00-5:00pm: Heads up- Today we will finish with a game of heads up.

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Football- Football is todays planned sport. The children can practice their skills and participate in a match together.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Kites- The children can make and fly their own kites tis morning.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Finger painting- Finger painting is todays sensory craft.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Scrabble- We have many different variants of scrabble for the children to play at OSCARS.

Thursday 10 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Paddling pools- This morning we are hoping for nice weather wen we set the paddling pools up.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Pebble painting- Pebble painting is todays creative craft. Wat will your child decide to paint.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Stuck in the ice. There will be plastic animals frozen in ice. The children will have to use a range of tools to save them.

group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Cat and mouse- Today, as a group, the children can play a classic game of cat and mouse.

Friday 11 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Frisbee- The children can run, pass and case after frisbees for todays activity.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Plant pot decoration- We are decorating summer plant pots in todays craft.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Mud kitchen- The children can make muddy recipes in the mud kitchen for todays sensory time.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Freeze tag- Freeze tag is todays group activity for the children to play.

 

Monday 14 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Volleyball- A fun game of volleyball will be todays active sport on offer.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Lolly pop creations- Today the children will be challenged to create sculptures and creations out of lolly pop sticks.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Finger painting- Finger painting will be making a return today. The children can paint whatever they desire.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Hide and seek- A firm favourite wit the children, we will play ide and seek in the OSCARS building and school field.

Tuesday 15 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Water fight- Our annual water fit returns today. Children are welcome to bring water blasters from home.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Jar lantern- Jam jars will be recycled into colourful lanterns during todays creative activity.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Foam play- The children will be able to create saving foam sculptures, modelling and shaping it wit their ands.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Granny's footsteps- One child will be Granny and the other children will have to creep towards Granny wen se is not looking without getting caught.

Wednesday 16 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Boccia- The children split into small teams and take it in turns to throw a ball towards a target. The team wit the closest ball wins.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Dream catcher- The children can make beautiful dream catcers using featers and beads.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Sensory bottles- Swirly and glittery bottles is todays fun sensory activity.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Cluedo- A classic, exciting game of Cluedo will be todays group activity.

Thursday 17 August

Active play 9:30- 12:30pm: JUMP.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Jelly slime play- The children can play wit squishy, squeezy jelly slime wen we return from JUMP.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Hangman- Todays activities will conclude wit a group activity of hangman.

Friday 18 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Gymnastics- The children will be able to sow off and practice their gymnastic skills.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Wind chime- Today the children will be making jingley wind crimes.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Rain sticks- Noisy rain sticks will be todays sensory activity.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Among us- In this among us inspired game, the children will be given a task to complete but somebody will be secretly sabotaging.

Monday 21 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Bug hunt- A fun hunt for creepy crawlies on the school field will be todays active play activity. 

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Bug hotel- Following on with the theme of bugs, we will be making a bug hotel today.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Water beads- Playing with slippery water beads will be todays sensory activity.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Charades- A group game of charades will finish off today.

Tuesday 22 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Football- Football will be on offer again today. Lots of fun to be had practicing skills and takin part in a match.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Tie dye Tops- The children will be able to tie die their very own t shirts if they choose to take part in todays activity.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Sensory quilt- The children can glue together a variety of fabrics and textures to make a sensory quilt.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Can I cross the river Mr crocodile?- A child will stand in the middle pretending to be a crocodile and the other children must try and run passed them without getting caught.

Wednesday 23 August 

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Dodgeball- A fun game of dodgeball is todays sport activity on offer.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Leaf rubbing- The children will collect a selection of interesting leaves to create some leaf rubbings.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Maraca craft- A sensory activity for the ears. The children can make rattling maracas.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Zoo lab- Zoo lab will be visiting with lots of interesting creatures ranging from centipedes to frogs to snakes.

Thursday 24 August 

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Crossbow Park- Today we are takin a sort trip across to crossbow park. We can take a ball and have lots of fun.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Sun catcher- The children will have an opportunity to make shimmering sun catchers.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Kinetic sand- The children can use tools to cut, shape and play with satisfying kinetic sand.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Broken telephone- The children will sit in a circle and pass a message along by whispering it into each others ears.

Friday 25 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Scooters- We will et the scooters out again today. Children are also welcome to bring scooters from home.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Hamma beads- A firm favourite at OSCARS. Today we will make more hamma bead creations.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Neon slime- Today we will make and play with brightly coloured, neon slime.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Hop scotch- To finish off todays fun activities, the children can draw hop scotch markings on the playground and hop away. 

Tuesday 29 August

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Inflatables- Inflatables will return today. The children will have access all day to two bouncy castles.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Scobie strings- Scoobie strings are a classic 2000's craft. The children can make keyrings today using them.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Clay jewellery- The children will be using air dry clay to make jewellery such as rings and bracelets.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Giant outdoor Jenga- To finish today off, we will play wit giant jenga on the school field.

Wednesday 30 August 

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Netball- Netball is todays active game. It's a favourite with the children and staff.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Sand art- The children will make beautiful designs on paper and use sand to bring them to life.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Bubble painting- Todays sensory acitivty is bubble painting. The children will blow colourful bubbles and use them to create art.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Balloon tennis- This afternoon the children can play a game of keepy uppy inside the OSCARS building with balloons.

Thursday 31 August 

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Yoga- We will start today off by learning some relaxing yoga moves.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Friendship bracelet- String friendship bracelets will be todays creative craft.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Kaleidoscope- Todays sensory activity will be surrounded by sight when the children make colourful Kaleidoscope.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Outdoor bowling- Todays group activity is going to be a big game of bowling outside on the playground.

Friday 1 September

Active play 9:30- 10:30am: Rugby- Todays activity will be a game of touch rugby on the school field.

Creative play 11:00- 12:30pm: Lego creations- We will get our buckets and buckets of lego out today for the children to build with.

Sensory play 2:00- 3:15pm: Leaf painting- The children will use interesting leaves as stamps in todays sensory craft to create a picture.

Group play 4:00- 5:00pm: Duck duck goose- Playscheme will conclude with a group game of duck duck goose.

Additional Information

Please do note that on some days there is an additional charge for the activity on offer. This will be on magic booking and will be added to your booking. Once you have booked your sessions you will need to pay in advance for the sessions. 

Although we have set activities on each day, we will always have the ‘usual’ activities on offer as well: football, colouring, outdoor play, construction etc. We will always make sure there is something that the children want to do! 

Please note that all activities are subject to change in the case of unforeseen circumstances.

Trip Days 

  • On trip days, parents/guardians will be given a mobile number to use in case they need to contact a staff member throughout the day.
  • Our trips are staffed at a 1:5 ratio, with a floating member of staff. Each staff member will be responsible for a small group.
  • If you have any concerns about the trips, please do speak to us. We are aware some children may have never been on a trip before and we will always carry out full risk assessments.

Breakfast is available until 8.15am. On all days, parents are requested to send in the following items:

  • water bottle
  • change of clothes
  • sun hat
  • sun cream
  • sensible shoes
  • packed lunch
  • warm clothes if cold/wet
